Soldering stainless?

How can I solder stainless steel such as cookware. Some fittings that seem to have been spot welded electrically have come off. I want to use propane or a #1 oxy-acetylene tip. Need help on flux plus rods or solder.Thanks! I know metal must be spotless but silver solder and stainless flux just rolls off.
