Would this hypothetical solve the barry bonds antagonists?
Take this approach. Take 10 guys who are mainly single and double hitters with the occasional homerun (lets say 21 year max homeruns) now have them take steriods. Those doubles are turning into homeruns now even if you just take a little bit. Barry Bonds was on the pirates and he was roughly 5'10" and skinny. Sure he was decent but there was no way he would be slamming 40+ homeruns a year. But suddenly in a few years (sorry much past the age where you are getting growth spurts) He gets jacked up and strong and huge and is hitting 45 or more homeruns in a season. Sorry but theres no way that could happen. His career is tainted and thats why when he ped Babe Ruths 714 homeruns there is an asterick next to his record. It says 715*. But then take Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron. When they played there were no steriods and then fields were much larger and the bats different. It was a different era and those records cant be compared to barry bonds. But now look at a player like Vlad Guerro. He is a legit power hitter.
