What is a fare rate of pay for a sewer and drain employee?

Ok, so I understand that there are many jobless people out there that would be more than willing to take a job that would only pay them min wage. My problem is that my rate of pay and hard filthy, vile, line of work....that is working with peoples feeces and discusting things that are found every day in sinks, toilets, and sewer lines! The company I work for is great, but I know that they are banking a load more than I feel i should be getting paid. When we have no work comeing in I'm on call for no rate in pay..which also restrics me to staying home and waiting "on call" for nothing, this includes my weekends too..yes saturdays and sundays! Im tired of liveing paycheck to paycheck knowing that I deserve a reasonable raise. Ok think about this....most of our jobs are roof jobs or sewer jobs....the equipment is heavy.....weather does not make a difference...how many hours I spend on a job doesnt matter either! Well either way I would like to know peoples opinions on what they might think I should do. I don't want to look for another job I would like to stick with the job I'm at. Should I ask for a raise...I feel I deserve one. Note...think about this most construction workers, flaggers for example maintainers make 16 dollars or more an hour....just maintaining the safety of the road and drivers.....I feel that i work circles around them by the half an hour........P.S feel overworked and underpaid and taken advantage of.....IT"S A DIRTY JOB but someones got to do it!!!! But shouldn't I be paid for it TOO!!!!!
